A Crock of Schmidt

Single-handedly solving nothing

My Life Is A Song #38

Shirthead Countdown #38

One day I’ll tell you all about The Captain.  The world needs to hear his story.  Until that time, he will remain simply my uncle.  His favourite band is The Rolling Stones.  I surely don’t need to tell you their story.

The choices are many as few bands have been more prolific or as legendary but this is my very favourite and arguably their greatest ever.  As far as pure rock and roll goes, nothing in their catalogue surpasses this gem.  Crank up the volume, get on your feet, and kick this dreary winter weekend off with “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”, the fabulous Rolling Stones single from 1968 with perhaps the most unfortunate lyrics in rock history (it’s a gas, gas, gas…seriously…wtf?)
