A Crock of Schmidt

Single-handedly solving nothing

My Life Is A Song #76

September 30, 2016 by acrockofschmidt Leave a Comment

I am no Deadhead.  I appreciate their better known songs like “Casey Jones” and “Sugar Magnolia” and “Uncle John’s Band” but frankly, I know nothing about the band and likely never will.  Furthermore, what I’m about to say will undoubtedly make genuine Deadheads cringe.  I love their one charting hit.  I really do.  What can I say, at my core I’m a mushy, commercialized sheep.

I am defiantly kicking off your weekend with that very song, and what might be the greatest lyric ever written.

Whistle through your teeth and spit ‘cause it’s alright.

This is “Touch of Grey” by The Grateful Dead from the 1987 album In The Dark.
